CANSHIELD™ SBS500 is is an SBS-modified bitumen cap ply for use in approved multi-ply membrane waterproofing assemblies. CANSHIELDTM SBS500 is composed of a proprietary formulation of elastomeric styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) polymer modified bitumen and is reinforced with a tough, dimensionally stable non-woven polyester mat. The topside is surfaced with silver-coated polyolefin film and underside is surfaced with polyolefin burn-off film to optimize heat welding.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION & FEATURES:

CANSHIELDTM SBS500 is is an SBS-modified bitumen cap ply for use in approved multi-ply membrane waterproofing assemblies. CANSHIELDTM SBS500 is composed of a proprietary formulation of elastomeric styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) polymer modified bitumen and is reinforced with a tough, dimensionally stable non-woven polyester mat. The topside is surfaced with silver-coated polyolefin film and underside is surfaced with polyolefin burn-off film to optimize heat welding.

·SBS rubber polymer enhances the asphalt blend adding elongation, elasticity and flexibility to the sheet

·Reinforced with a non woven polyester that increases the membrane’s strength and durability

·Silver-coated polyolefin film improves the durability when exposed to sunlight

·Underside is surfaced with a polyolefin burn-off film to optimize heat welding

·Meets or exceeds requirements of GB 18242

USES:

·It can be applied into various kinds of waterproofing projects, especially suitable for areas with high temperature or strong ultraviolet radiation. It's a better choice for construction in summer.

APPLICATION:

·Prior to installation, unroll CANSHIELDTM SBS500 onto the deck and allow to relax. Place CANSHIELDTM SBS500 in desired position and back roll the product. Apply approved adhesive or primer following manufacturer specifications. CANSHIELDTM SBS500 is then placed into the adhesive and rolled with a weighted roller or hot welded to the substrate when using primer to ensure adhesion.

STORAGE:

·Store rolls in an upright position to prevent damage. Store in a clean, dry location and cover as necessary to protect from environmental damage such as extreme cold, heat or moisture.
